Bardot joins protest

Screen legend Brigitte Bardot arrived in Ottawa, Canada, yesterday to protest the government's support of the controversial seal hunt. She told a press conference, "You must join me to ensure this hunt stops. How can we continue to kill seals in a rich country like Canada... I am not crazy... I am pleading with you. This will likely be my last visit to Canada before I die. I want to see this barbaric massacre stopped before then." Bardot joins Paul McCartney, who visited the region last month, in the fight to stop the annual hunt.
