Anna Nicole's legal nemesis has died

Anna Nicole Smith's nemesis in the trial for her deceased husband's fortune has died. E. Pierce Marshall, the son of the oil tycoon Anna Nicole was briefly married to, died unexpectedly from a "brief and extremely aggressive" infection on Tuesday. "The family would politely request that their privacy be respected during this extremely difficult time as they grapple with this devastating loss," Marshall's family said in a statement. Marshall had been embroiled in legal battles with Anna Nicole since 1994.
