Jodie shows support for Mel

Jodie Foster is one of the few celebs to speak out in support of her former co-star Mel Gibson. Foster told the LA Times that she doesn't think Gibson is an anti-Semite, saying, "Is he an anti-Semite? Absolutely no, but it's no secret that he has always fought a terrible battle with alcoholism... [He was] a shining example of how low you can go when you are young and still pull yourself up. He took his recovery very seriously, which is why I know he is strong enough to get through this now." Not seriously enough, obviously.
