Jessica Simpson has fired her publicist following the widespread rumors that she was dating John Mayer. The Public Affair singer had reportedly been unhappy with his work for some time and the Mayer debacle "was the last straw." Mayer had accused Simpson of using him for publicity after the story appeared on the covers of two major magazines.
