Courtney says Kurt wasn't "the one"

Courtney Love says that while Kurt Cobain was "the best friend I ever had," her one true love was actor Edward Norton. Love told Pop mag of Cobain: "I think he did love me. But when you're dealing with someone who is that brilliant but is tortured you have to put up with a lot of misanthropic s**t." She says Norton was "more of a daddy to Frances than Kurt ever was." The editor of Pop insists she didn't initally intend for Love's photoshoot to be raunchy and half-clothed. "We didn't plan the shoot to be raunchy - we wanted to put her in couture - but she's such a big presence. In a couture dress she seemed stiff, so it ended up being quite naked."
